The EU Directive 2018/2002 on Energy Efficiency (EED) of 18 December 2018, contained in the very important European Clean Energy Package, establishes that from 25 October 2020 the new meters and heat meters must be managed remotely.
This directive is the evolution of the previous one, 2012/27/EU, which had the merit of introducing the obligation to install accounting instruments in apartment buildings. Today, the efficiency target is even more ambitious: by 2030 it will be necessary to achieve an energy efficiency of 32.5%.
In addition, by January 1, 2027 all meters must be readable remotely, otherwise they must be replaced. Unless otherwise specified.
Kerberos has been at the forefront of building remote metering for years. Its MaggiorDOMO © system makes it possible to multiply domestic comfort and increase energy savings with remote control for both the end user and the condominium administrator (in their respective and different needs).
