Indoor Air Quality Monitoring

Monitoring the air quality of a working environment avoids health problems, drops in concentration and production capacity.

Implementation and control systems integrated with monitoring.

X-Monitor technology allows the same network to be used for monitoring and implementation. A wide range of wireless devices allows the control of any type of device while the use of standard protocols facilitates the integration in retrofit interventions and in the presence of local logic.

Indoor air quality refers to the indoor air that you breathe in confined spaces, such as:

  • dwellings
  • public and private offices
  • community facilities (hospitals, schools, offices, barracks, hotels, banks)
  • environments for recreational and social activities (cinemas, bars, restaurants, shops, sports facilities)
  • public and/or private transport (car, train, plane, ship, etc.).

Indoor air comes from outdoor atmospheric air and enters the confined spaces through ventilation (natural and/or artificial).

In closed or semi-enclosed environments the oxygen present in the air (inside) is gradually consumed, while with human breathing and transpiration some components are introduced into the air such as: water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2) and various organic substances.

In the absence of adequate ventilation, the quality of the internal air tends to be altered, as a result of the presence and accumulation of pollutants: substances with characteristics that modify the normal composition or physical state of the air and alter its healthiness (stale air).

In these high-density environments, especially in modern buildings, air exchange is low and can affect people's wellness by promoting health problems, loss of concentration and production capacity.

Kerberos offers extensive solutions for monitoring air quality with the KET-AIR series of environmental sensors, equipped with sensors for measuring CO2 and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC).

In addition, they are equipped with temperature, humidity and light sensors that make it possible to check the level of "comfort" of the working environment.

With a design suitable for both offices and facilities such as hotels, hospitals, schools, cinemas or restaurants, they can be installed in environments / areas that you want to monitor without major masonry work. In fact, their ductility of connections allows communication with other devices in the X-Monitor network, such as the KET-RMB repeater and the KET-GZE-360 concentrator, which, in addition to making available the data collected by the sensors in real time on the X-Platform platform, can manage Building Automation systems, such as the opening/closing of ventilation openings, air conditioners, heat pumps and windows that improve the environmental conditions.
