Steam generator consumption monitoring

In industry, steam production is one of the most energy-intensive expenses.

The use of devices for measuring the steam flow allows to get essential information about the production plant, such as the identification of the users of higher consumption and unused, the time slots with more load, the verification of the proper functioning of the plant, the comparison of the cost of steam as an energy carrier and those for each production line.

 

This functional scheme shows Kerberos's proposal for monitoring steam energy with a Vortex type steam flow meter, KET-MPV-100.000, with 4-20 mA analogue output and a monitoring panel (Panel 1) consisting of the flow calculator, KET-CEV-100, which quantifies the flow rate and instantaneous value in open circuits. Through RS485 port it communicates with the KET-GZE-220 gateway, with Master ModBUS function, to send and display data on external platforms such as X-Platform Easy. Inside the same panel it is possible to install also the industrial modem KET-MUM-100 to guarantee the connection even in absence of the local one.

 

KET-GZE-220

 

It is a gateway with Ethernet interface and radio module, with ModBUS Master function for up to 32 slave profiles and datalogger with data recording capacity for periods longer than 3 months.  

Kerberos offers as additional services the preconfiguration and insertion in a pre-wired electrical panel (panel 1) of the devices for quick and easy installation, and the X-Platform Easy platform for data acquisition and visualization, configurable to your needs.

 

KET-MUM-100

 

Industrial type modem, it interfaces with the gateway via Ethernet port. Equipped with the main security certifications, guarantees the connection even in the absence of a local network, Kerberos provides, as an additional service, a SIM for data traffic with annual fee contract at very advantageous prices. It can be supplied pre-configured and inserted in the electrical panel (Panel 1).

 

KET-CEV-100

 

It is a flow counter that can measure both natural or ideal gases and saturated or superheated steam. The RS485 serial port can act as either Master or Slave, in the latter case it uses 4 profiles and therefore a maximum of 8 profiles can be connected for each ModBUS Master, such as the KET-GZE-220 gateway. For data acquisition from Vortex meters, the 4-20 mA analog input is preferred for greater measurement accuracy. It can be supplied pre-configured and inserted in an electrical panel (panel 1).

 

KET-MPV-100.000

 

It is a Vortex-type steam flowmeter with a wide measuring range, display and multiple communication interfaces, for which the 4-20 mA output is preferred as shown in the diagram. Easy to install with flanged or wafer connections, it is supplied with low voltage. It can be supplied pre-configured.
