In closed or semi-enclosed environments, the oxygen present in the (internal) air is gradually consumed, while with human breathing and transpiration some components are introduced into the air such as: water vapour, carbon dioxide (CO2) and various organic substances (including Volatile Organic Compounds - VOC).
In the absence of adequate ventilation, the quality of the internal air tends to change, as a result of the presence and accumulation of pollutants: substances with characteristics such as to change the normal composition or physical state of the air and alter its healthiness (stale air). In these high-density environments, especially in modern buildings, air exchange is low and can affect people's wellbeing by promoting health problems, loss of concentration and production capacity.
This functional scheme describes Kerberos's proposal for monitoring indoor air quality through wireless sensors of VOC, KET-AIR-100, or combined VOC + indirect CO2, KET-AIR-200 of high precision. The installation of an outdoor environmental sensor, KET-THL-200.S, is necessary where automatic temperature regulation systems are to be activated (see Functional Diagram 7) which also allow air exchange. The KET-GZE-310 gateway allows, thanks to the X-MP radio module, the management of the entire wireless sensor network. In case of structural obstacles (see "Tips on how to install the radio devices") it will be necessary to install repeater, KET-RMB-210.S/220, to ensure the strength of the network.
KET-GZE-310
It is an advanced gateway with an ethernet interface, Wi-Fi and 3G/4G/NB-IoT/LTE-M modem for viewing data on external platforms. Equipped with a radio module with X-Monitor Protocol (X-MP), which can reach distances of over 1000 m in free air, for the management of wireless sensors. Data logger function with the capability to record data for periods longer than 3 months.
Kerberos offers as additional services the preconfiguration and pre-insertion in the electrical panel (Panel 1) of the devices for easy and fast installation, SIM for annual data traffic at very low prices and the X-Platform Easy platform for data acquisition and visualization, configurable to your needs.
KET-AIR-100/200
They are wireless sensors air quality, measure levels of Volatile Organic Compounds and, in the case of the KET-AIR-200, of indirect CO2. They are also fitted with temperature, relative humidity and light sensors for complete monitoring of indoor environments. Equipped with X-MP radio module with internal antenna that can reach a distance of more than 600 m in free air. The battery power supply and the wall mounting bracket allow it to be installed anywhere as required. It can be supplied pre-configured.
KET-THL-200.S
It is a wireless environmental sensor for temperature, relative humidity and light for outdoor wall installation. Necessary to compare the data collected by the sensors for air quality, thanks to automatic temperature management systems that allow the exchange of air. Equipped with X-MP radio module with internal antenna that can reach a distance of more than 600 m in free air. The battery power supply and the wall mounting bracket allow it to be installed anywhere as required. It can be supplied pre-configured.
KET-RMB-210.S / KET-RMB-220 (optionals)
For medium/long distances or in the presence of structural obstacles (see "Tips on how to install radio devices"), Kerberos has wireless repeater with extended radio range in X-MP that can reach distances of more than 1000 m in free air: the KET-RMB-210.S is pre-inserted in the switchboard with IP65 degree of protection, while the KET-RMB-220 for wall mounting. They can be supplied pre-configured.
