The need to improve the livability and sustainability of our cities passes through the adoption of ubiquitous technologies that improve comfort, safety and the use of energy.

X-Monitor technology allows the same network to be used for monitoring and implementation. A wide range of wireless devices allows the control of any type of device while the use of standard protocols facilitates the integration in retrofit interventions and in the presence of local logic.

Efficiency means knowing, analysing and acting in a virtuous cycle of continuous improvement. The X-Monitor series of devices allows the collection and transmission of parameters typical of industrial and civil environments. In addition to the consumption data, it is possible to measure quantities obtained from the production process in a non-invasive way. Our X-Platform platform allows advanced analysis with processing of KPIs and virtual sensors, plus predictive analysis with machine learning techniques.

The Smart Cities must aim to integrate technological development with different functions/components such as: mobility, air quality, management of energy and water resources, optimization of public network consumption.

The wireless X-Monitor technology allows to operate in different fields of application:

 

Environment

Monitoring of environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, wind speed) and air quality (CO2, VOC, fine dust) with real-time data transmission and configurable alarm thresholds.

 

Lighting

Street or parking lighting control, with time and/or zone programming and automatic switch-on only in case of presence. At the same time, it checks the consumption and condition of the luminaire and signals any faults.

 

Mobility

Counting of road and/or pedestrian traffic, both for the management of flows and for sending alarms.

 

Application's scopes

Urban Lighting

Smart cities represent urban planning aimed at improving the quality of life.

Part of the project is the intelligent management of urban lighting and not only related to the reduction of electricity consumption, although not secondary, but especially to limit light pollution.

According to many researchers, light pollution can cause numerous damages to man, flora and fauna because it influences the alternation of day and night, which is very important for the wellness of all types of life.

In this regard, in Italy, we must comply with the requirements of regional laws, the Highway Code and the parameters of the Standard Bodies (at international level the CIE, European CEN, national UNI and CEI).

The advanced devices of sensors and actuators X-Monitor allow you to manage according to preconfigurable logic each individual luminaire by adjusting the on / off and light intensity. In addition, through a series of alarms, it signals the presence of any faults in real time.

 

Big Parking Areas

Public or private parking areas can represent a significant economic expense if its lighting is not intelligently managed.

In addition to the installation of LED lamps, a control and actuation system further reduces electricity consumption.

Kerberos, thanks to its wide range of X-Monitor sensors and actuators, can regulate the switching on of luminaires with pre-configured logic, for example, according to weather conditions or only in the event of vehicle presence.

Private Street

A control and actuation system makes it possible to reduce the electricity consumption of private outdoor areas.

Green Areas

Lighting is essential for the safety of the parks and gardens of our cities, but for municipalities it is not easy, due to the resources made available to them, to perform regular and effective maintenance.

Thanks to the X-Monitor technology, it is possible to receive real-time alarms to report faults for each light point directly on our X-Platform or customer platforms, for targeted and predictive maintenance, avoiding waste of resources and money.

At the same time, the actuators, according to preconfigurable logic, regulate the on/off and light intensity of the luminaires, without losing sight of the aspect of energy consumption and light pollution.
