Smart Cities must aim to integrate technological development with various functions/components such as: mobility, air quality, management of energy and water resources, optimization of public network consumption.
The wireless X-Monitor technology allows operation in various application fields:

Environment
Monitoring of environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, wind speed) and air quality (CO2, VOC, fine dust) with real-time data transmission and configurable alarm thresholds.

Lighting

Regulation of street or parking lighting, with time-based and/or zone programming and automatic activation only in case of presence. At the same time, it verifies the consumption and status of the lighting fixture, reporting any faults.

Mobility
Counting of road and/or pedestrian traffic, both for flow management and for sending alarms.

Urban Lighting

Smart cities represent urban planning aimed at improving the quality of life.
Part of the project is the intelligent management of urban lighting, not only related to the reduction of electricity consumption, although not secondary, but above all to limit light pollution.
Light pollution, according to many researchers, can cause numerous damages to humans, flora, and fauna because it influences the alternation of day and night, which is extremely important for the well-being of every form of life.
In this regard, in Italy, one must adhere to the requirements dictated by regional laws, the Highway Code, and the parameters of regulatory bodies (internationally CIE, European CEN, national UNI and CEI).
The advanced X-Monitor sensor and actuator devices allow managing each individual lighting fixture according to pre-configurable logics, regulating switching on/off and light intensity. Furthermore, through a series of alarms, it signals the presence of any faults in real time.

Large Parking Areas

Parking areas, public or private, can represent a significant economic expense if their lighting is not intelligently managed.
In addition to the installation of LED lamps, a control and actuation system further reduces electricity consumption.
Kerberos, thanks to the wide range of X-Monitor sensors and actuators, allows regulating the switching on of lighting fixtures with pre-configured logics, for example, according to weather conditions or only in the presence of a vehicle.

Green Areas

Lighting is fundamental for the safety of parks and gardens in our cities, but for Municipalities, it is not simple, due to the resources available to them, to carry out regular and effective maintenance.

Thanks to X-Monitor technology, it is possible to receive real-time alarms for fault reporting for each light point directly on our TransiXtion platform or client platforms, for targeted and predictive maintenance, avoiding resource and economic waste.
At the same time, the actuators, according to pre-configurable logics, regulate the switching on/off and light intensity of the lighting fixtures, without losing sight of energy consumption and light pollution.
