Temperature, relative humidity and light monitoring indoor via RS485
This scheme shows the Kerberos solution for monitoring environmental parameters using high-precision ModBUS environmental sensors for indoor and outdoor use.

Often companies do not give due importance to the microclimate of the working environment and do not realize that an inadequate microclimate can not only compromise the safety and health of workers, but can create feelings of discomfort and decrease productivity. For example, during the summer seasons, when excess humidity and heat are not corrected by proper air conditioning.

Temperature and relative humidity are among the factors to qualify the microclimate of a working environment as established by Legislative Decree 81/08 Title VIII and all. IV. The optimal level of humidity for our organism is between 40 and 60% and at a temperature between 19 and 24°.

Another very important aspect for comfort and safety are the levels of internal light in a work environment as established by the UNI EN 12464-1 standard.

This functional scheme describes Kerberos's proposal for monitoring the environmental parameters of temperature, relative humidity and light intensity using high-precision ModBUS environmental sensors for indoor use, KET-THL-210, and for outdoor use, KET-THL-210.S. The latter is necessary to provide data to be compared with the measurements of the internal sensors and to activate automatic temperature control systems, where required (see Functional Scheme 7).  The KET-GZE-310 gateway allows, thanks to the ModBUS Master function, the local management of environmental sensors or other ModBUS Masters, KET-RMB-211, and makes available the measurements taken in different environments on external platforms (such as X-Platform).

KET-GZE-310

It is an advanced gateway with Ethernet interface, Wi-Fi and 3G/4G/NB-IoT/LTE-M modem for data visualization on external platforms, with ModBUS Master function up to 32 slave profiles for the management of KET-THL-210/210.S and KET-RMB-211 and datalogger function with data logging capacity for periods longer than 3 months.

Kerberos offers as additional services the preconfiguration and pre-insertion in the electrical panel (Panel 1) of the devices for an easy and fast installation, SIM for annual data traffic at very advantageous prices and the X-Platform Easy platform for data acquisition and visualization, configurable to your needs.

KET-RMB-211

It is a device with ModBUS Master function up to 32 slave profiles for local management of multiple KET-THL-210/210.S environmental sensors. It is locally connected to the gateway in ModBUS Slave mode as shown in the scheme, remotely connected via the X-MP radio module. It can be supplied pre-configured and inserted in the electrical panel (Panel 1).

KET-THL-210

It is a ModBUS environmental sensor for temperature, relative humidity and light for indoor wall installation. Small in size, it has a display and navigation keyboard. The reduced number of ModBUS profiles used (-1) allows to reduce the number of ModBUS Master devices. It can be supplied pre-configured.

KET-THL-210.S

It is a ModBUS environmental sensor for temperature, relative humidity and light for outdoor wall installation. Necessary to compare the data collected by the KET-THL-210, thanks to automatic temperature management systems. The reduced number of ModBUS profiles used (-1) allows to reduce the number of ModBUS Master devices. It can be supplied pre-configured.
