In closed or semi-enclosed environments, the oxygen present in the air (internal) is gradually consumed, while with human breathing and transpiration some components are introduced into the air such as: water vapor, carbon dioxide (CO2) and various organic substances (including Volatile Organic Compounds - VOC).
In the absence of adequate ventilation, the quality of the internal air tends to change, as a result of the presence and accumulation of pollutants: substances with characteristics such as to change the normal composition or physical state of the air and alter its healthiness (stale air). In these high-density environments, especially in modern buildings, air exchange is low and can affect people's wellbeing by promoting health problems, loss of concentration and production capacity.
This functional scheme describes Kerberos's proposal for monitoring indoor air quality through modbus sensors of VOC, KET-AIR-110, or combined VOC + indirect CO2, KET-AIR-210 with high precision. The installation of an outdoor environmental sensor, KET-THL-210.S, is necessary where automatic temperature control systems are to be activated (see Functional Diagram 7) which also allow air exchange. The KET-GZE-310 gateway allows, thanks to the ModBUS Master function, the local management of air quality sensors or other ModBUS Masters, KET-RMB-211, and makes available the measurements taken in different environments on external platforms (such as X-Platform).
KET-GZE-310
It is an advanced gateway with ethernet interface, Wi-Fi and 3G/4G/NB-IoT/LTE-M modem for data visualization on external platforms, with ModBUS Master function for up to 32 slave profiles for the management of the of all other ModBUS devices and data loggers with data logging capability for periods longer than 3 months.
Kerberos offers as additional services the preconfiguration and pre-insertion in the electrical panel (Panel 1) of the devices for easy and fast installation, SIM for annual data traffic at very low prices and the X-Platform Easy platform for data acquisition and visualization, configurable to your needs.
KET-RMB-211
It is a device with ModBUS Master function up to 32 slave profiles for the local management of multiple air quality sensors KET-AIR-110/210. It is locally connected to the gateway in ModBUS Slave mode as shown in the scheme, remotely connected via the X-MP radio module. It can be supplied pre-configured and inserted in the electrical panel (Panel 1).
KET-AIR-110/210
They are sensors for air quality ModBUS, measure levels of Volatile Organic Compounds and, in the case of the KET-AIR-210, of indirect CO2. They are also equipped with temperature, relative humidity and light sensors for complete monitoring of indoor environments. Small in size, they have a display and navigation keyboard. The reduced number of ModBUS profiles used (-1) allows to reduce the number of ModBUS Master devices. They can be supplied pre-configured.
KET-THL-210.S
It is a ModBUS environmental sensor for temperature, relative humidity and light for outdoor wall installation. Necessary to compare the data collected by the sensors for air quality, by virtue of automatic temperature management systems that allow the exchange of air. The reduced number of ModBUS profiles used (-1) allows to reduce the number of ModBUS Master devices. It can be supplied pre-configured.
