Complete supervision of a rack cabinet with monitoring of electrical consumption
This scheme shows the Kerberos solution for monitoring all the essential parameters of a 19' rack cabinet, such as energy consumption, internal temperature and the security of the cabinet itself.

In addition to the consumption data, it is possible to measure quantities obtained from the production process in a non-invasive way. Rack cabinets are widely used by companies that deal with telecommunications and information technology, but also by companies that want to properly protect and safeguard their large wealth of computer data, the true wealth of each company. It is well known that the electronic systems within them develop a large production of heat, it is therefore essential to monitor the internal environmental parameters to intervene before the onset of a malfunction or in the worst case to break with the consequent risk of data loss.
Kerberos has developed a 19' rack cabinet monitoring system, designed to keep all the essential parameters under control. The system allows monitoring of the rack's internal temperatures and PDU consumption. In addition, it has dedicated inputs for smoke, flooding and door opening sensors. This functional scheme shows all Kerberos devices and their connections for full state monitoring of a rack cabinet.
KET-RKM-100
The smart master supervisor for rack cabinets is equipped with up to 7 analog inputs for NTC temperature probes and 4 digital inputs with automatic detection of the presence and type of sensor. Thanks to the Master ModBUS function, up to 32 slave profiles can manage up to 30 smart slave supervisors KET-RKS-100 or up to 8 industrial extensions KET-RKE (depending on the model) for monitoring PDU energy consumption. In addition, it is equipped with a radio module with X-Monitor Protocol that allows it to manage other smart slave supervisors remotely. It can be configured to send data to external platforms using internal LTE 4G, GPRS, Narrow Band modems or via Ethernet.
Kerberos offers as additional services the preconfiguration of devices for easy and fast installation, SIM for annual data traffic at very advantageous prices, the X-Platform Easy platform for data acquisition and visualization, configurable to your needs and the development of dedicated logic on customer requirements.
KET-RKS-100
The smart slave supervisor has the same characteristics as the master except for the modem and the Ethernet interface. Thanks to the minimum number of ModBUS profiles used (-1) and the radio module, a large number of rack cabinets can be monitored using a single smart master supervisor. It can be supplied pre-configured.
KET-RKE
Kerberos has industrial extensions with single-phase or three-phase power meters that support loads of up to 32 or 63 A. They allow you to monitor the energy consumption of the PDUs. Each one is equipped with an RS485 output, from which it is possible to connect in daisy-chain to other extensions through KET-RKY-101 cable and to smart master/slave supervisors with KET-RKY-100 cable. It can be supplied already preconfigured.
KET-RKF-100
It is a smoke/fire detector with multiple led indicator and is connected via cable with RJ11 connection to smart master/slave supervisors. Its magnetic base makes installation very simple, it must be positioned inside and at the top of the rack cabinet.
KET-RKA-100
It is an anti-flooding sensor that detects the presence of water on the floor through two golden feet. Connected via cable with RJ11 connection to smart master/slave supervisors.
KET-RKP-100
It is a rack opening sensor with magnetic contact for visible installation on non-ferromagnetic and ferromagnetic rack doors. Connected via cable with RJ11 connection to smart master/slave supervisors.
KET-RKT-100
It is an NTC temperature probe made of black thermoplastic rubber, with a 3 m cable that allows easy access to the measurement points. Up to 3 of them can be connected via cable with RJ45 connection for each smart master/slave supervisor.
KET-RKT-104
It is a cable with 4 NTC temperature probes pre-distanced every 60 cm connected with a single RJ45 connection to smart master/slave supervisors.
